preserving and promoting Jewish cultural heritage, and the French and Basque Studies departments at the University of Nevada Reno, to
develop a presentation on the history of the French Resistance whose presence throughout France played a significant role in facilitating
the Allies’ rapid advance through the country following the invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944. One of our objectives is to engage with the
large Basque community in Northern Nevada and incorporate their heritage into our cultural program.
