One Film
One Federation

OFOF is the annual Federation of AFUSA film program offering contemporary and classic French-language cinema.

All films undergo a rigorous evaluation in order to be chosen as the OFOF selection(s). The films are featured nationally as part of AF chapter programming. Film is an important tool for learning French and understanding Francophone culture. Member chapters should review the program logistics below and email us with any questions.

Young French Cinema films for Alliance Française chapters
A program of Unifrance and Villa Albertine

Young French Cinema (YFC) is a program created and co-managed by Unifrance, the French organization in charge of promoting French cinema abroad, and Villa Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education.

Since 2015, the program has introduced North American audiences to films by emerging French filmmakers whose work has not yet secured theatrical distribution in the United States or Canada.

The curated selection, featuring films by first- and second-time directors, is available for screenings at independent and arthouse cinemas, film festivals, cultural institutions, and universities.

The 2026 YFC selection:

Affection Affection

by Alexia Walther & Maxime Matray

L’Engloutie / The Girl in the Snow

by Louise Hémon

Partir un jour / Leave One Day

by Amélie Bonnin

Nino

by Pauline Loquès

Le Rendez-vous de l'été / That Summer in Paris

by Valentine Cadic

La Danse des Renards / Wild Foxes

by Valéry Carnoy

How It Works:

  • Each film can be booked at a rate of $350 per film for up to 2 screenings.
  • Unifrance's partners at Digital Cinema United will deliver films as DCPs or H264 files, according to your playback capabilities. Films can be received by digital delivery or physical hard drive delivery.
  • All films can be booked “à la carte” – there is no minimum or maximum number of films that venues must choose.
  • If you are interested in booking a film, please fill out Unifrance's 2026 YFC Booking Form.

Please do not hesitate if you have any questions about the selection or the program. We look forward to hearing from you and to a great Young French Cinema year!

French Cinémathèque

A collaboration between the the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA and Telescope Film

How the Program Works:

One Film One Federation (OFOF), in collaboration with Telescope Film, presents French Cinémathèque – a celebration of Francophone cinema offering a curated selection of monthly films from January – December, 2026. AF Chapter members worldwide can watch the monthly selection on specified streaming platforms followed by a free, hosted discussion in English with Beatrice Loayza, a critic and film historian based in Brooklyn. Beatrice is a lecturer at the School of Visual Arts and a regular contributor to the New York Times, the Criterion Collection, Film Comment, and other publications.

Telescope Film, the only site in the US exclusively for international film and TV, now offers a dedicated page for France. Looking for a particular French film or show? Search our comprehensive database to find out if it’s streaming in the US and where. Not sure what to watch (as long as it’s French!)? See what’s new and what’s popular from France, or browse our curated content – there’s a new themed collection every month. From the classics of the French New Wave to the latest series, the French page on Telescope is a home for fans of French film and TV.
