AF de Reno: Fall PBS ad campaign
The Alliance Française of Reno is promoting their second Fall session of Adult classes by running an ad campaign on their local public television station PBS Reno. We’re the youngest AF chapter in the US and are still working with a limited budget, so by scheduling the ads during Rick Steves’ Travel Series, our goal is maximize our investment and target viewers who have a passion for travel and who want to learn to converse with ease during their next trip to France.
To strengthen our community outreach efforts, the Alliance Française of Reno is partnering with Jewish Nevada, an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Jewish cultural heritage, and the French and Basque Studies departments at the University of Nevada Reno, to develop a presentation on the history of the French Resistance whose presence throughout France played a significant role in facilitating the Allies’ rapid advance through the country following the invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944. One of our objectives is to engage with the large Basque community in Northern Nevada and incorporate their heritage into our cultural program.
