French Cinémathèque: Un conte de Noël

One Film One Federation (OFOF), in collaboration with Telescope Film, presents French Cinémathèque – a celebration of Francophone cinema offering a curated selection of monthly films from January – December, 2026. AF Chapter members worldwide can enjoy the monthly selection on specified streaming platforms followed by a free hosted discussion in English with Beatrice Loayza, a critic and film historian based in Brooklyn. Beatrice is a lecturer at the School of Visual Arts and a regular contributor to the New York Times, the Criterion Collection, Film Comment, and other publications.

When their regal matriarch falls ill, the troubled Vuillard family come together for a hesitant Christmastime reunion. Among them is rebellious ne'er-do-well Henri and the uptight Elizabeth. Together under the same roof for the first time in many years, their intricate, long denied resentments and yearnings emerge again.

Discussions will usually take place on the fourth Monday of each month. Participants are encouraged to watch the film via streaming before attending the discussion. The Zoom link will be sent out via email after registration.
