Please join Jenna Helwig, author of the new Paris mystery The Foreign Correspondent’s Wife and food director at Real Simple magazine, in discussion with bestselling cookbook author and part-time Paris resident Dorie Greenspan. Expect a conversation about the delights of French food, the fun of crafting a historical mystery, and memories of how Julia Child inspired both Jenna and Dorie, one via her memoir and the other in real life.

Jenna Helwig is the author of The Foreign Correspondent’s Wife, a mystery novel set in post World War II Paris. She is also the food director at Real Simple magazine, the author of five cookbooks including Bare Minimum Dinners and the bestselling Baby-Led Feeding. In 2025, she launched Cookbookery Collective, a Substack for fellow cookbook lovers. During university, Jenna studied for a semester in Rennes, France, and she’s now a regular visitor to France. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her family and adorable dog Pepper. When she isn’t cooking, writing, or reading, she’s probably watching baseball, exploring the city, or planning her next trip to Paris.

Inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America, Dorie Greenspan is the New York Times bestselling and IACP award and James Beard Award winning author of fifteen cookbooks, including Baking with Dorie, Dorie’s Cookies, Around My French Table, Baking Chez Moi, and Baking: From My Home to Yours, and a Substack with a hugely devoted following, xoxoDorie Newsletter. She lives and bakes in Westbrook, Connecticut, and Paris.
