The host family program: a mutually beneficial partnership between Alliance Française chapters and La Route des Langues USA
Hear from Julie Ripoll, Director of the Alliance Française San Diego, and Nicolas Duhaut, Director of La Route des Langues USA, about the host family program for French students.
Since 2022, this program has allowed French teenagers and American families to learn about each other, share their culture, and create French-American friendships.
For French students, it's a unique opportunity to share the daily life of an American family for a few weeks during the summer holidays while improving their English.
For the American families recruited among the Alliance membership, it's like bringing a bit of France to their homes!
We will discuss how the program works, how Alliances Françaises can get involved, and the benefits of this initiative.
