Please tell us about your current role in your chapter and for how long you have been doing it: I am currently the Executive Director of the Philadelphia Chapter and started in this position in September 2023.

In January 2018, I joined the Board of Directors of the Alliance Française de Philadelphie and fulfilled the role of secretary on the Executive Committee between 2021-2023. In that capacity, I have gained a great understanding of the operational and other ancillary functions of the organization.

Candidacy Statement - Please write a short summary describing your reasons to join the board (i.e., motivation, experience, vision, highlights).

Since my recent appointment as Executive Director of the Philadelphia chapter, I have been very grateful for the connections I was able to make throughout the network, thanks to the Federation’s efforts. The convention last Fall was an exceptional and necessary tremplin for me, as I was able to understand clearly what was going to be my role and how the network could be an excellent source of help. I came back to Philadelphia with much motivation and excitement, ready to bring our chapter to new heights. Although I still have much to learn, I would welcome the opportunity to give back and bring my personal skills to the table. As a French Canadian, I am also a representative of the extended Francophone community across the Federation, which is a great asset.

Description of background and skill sets that would be applied in a board position. These could include expertise in marketing, fundraising, legal expertise, IT experience/graphic design, social media, expertise in the fields of French language pedagogy and francophone culture, etc. 

With my collaborative, resourceful and outgoing personality, I have successfully performed various leadership roles in nonprofit, cultural and sports organizations. I am confident that my diversified background, my professionalism and my work ethic would be excellent assets for the Federation Board and I’m ready to help the organization continue fulfilling its mission.
