Regional Meetings
The regionalization of the Federation is a grassroots movement that has been bringing together AFs that are located in the same geographical area. These regional meetings are organized on the initiative of one or more area Alliances and provide chapters the opportunity of sharing successful practices, discussing mutual challenges, and brainstorming ways to improve their cultural and educational offerings.
Such regional meetings are strongly encouraged by the Federation and, when possible, one or more Federation Board members participate as attendees.
Regions
The Côte Ouest Region, which includes the AFs in California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Nevada and Arizona, has been meeting annually since 1990 under the leadership of Claire Van Brunt, AF de Berkeley (CA).
The Coeur des Alliances Françaises Region, which includes the AFs of Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ohio, met for the first time in 2004, thanks to the initiative of Becca Brodarick, AF de Louisville (KY).
