Coeur des Alliances Regional Meeting 2004

Hosted by the AF de Louisville (KY)
The first annual regional meeting of Le Cœur des Alliances Françaises USA took place in Louisville, Kentucky on February 7, 2004. Despite freezing temperatures and snowy conditions, members of the AF Louisville Board of Directors offered a warm reception to Liliane Krasean and Ann Swedeen of AF d’Indianapolis, Marie Pierre Isherwood and Terra Forest of AF de Nashville, Paul Azzara of AF de St. Louis, Sonia Bohelay and Cecile Rezazqui of AF ds Cincinnati, Will Thompson of AF de Memphis, and Frédéric Brosson of FIAF de New York. Becca Brodarick, School Director, and Judy Robbins, President of AF de Louisville participated along with many Louisville Board members.

The Louisville Program featured a presentation by Jerry Krupilski, Director of Development for Norton Healthcare Foundation, who spoke to the group about fund-raising and strategic planning. Other sessions, which were organized by the participants, treated topics such as French classes, cultural events, membership development and facilities management. A potluck dinner provided by the AF de Louisville Board of Directors was held in the evening at the home of Becca Brodarick.

Although the meeting was low-budget and informal, participants profited from the successes, ideas, and wisdom of colleagues from other AF chapters with common characteristics. Equally as important, it was FUN!
