TCF (Test de Connaissance de Français)

The French Alliance of Tulsa is an authorized test center for the TCF exam, which checks for the level of proficiency in the French language, called TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français). This is an international test which can be taken by non-native speakers of French who wish to obtain a reliable and recognized evaluation and certification of their abilities in French for professional or personal reasons. There are no diploma or preparation requirements for test candidates. We do not offer DELF & DALF.

Why take this test?

  • Personal - obtain an evaluation of your speaking, writing and comprehension skills in French. The TCF provides a snapshot of your proficiency in French.
  • Work - the TCF certificate is a benchmark of your language abilities and may be used to endorse job applications or for internal promotion.
  • Study - the certification process is designed according to international students and is recognized by universities as meeting French language requirements for entry.

The International Certification of the Organization is approved in 118 countries including the U.S.

The calendar is such that the test has to be taken between the 20th and the 30th of each month. Applications need to be submitted and fees paid before the 5th of each month. The cost of the test is of $250. Please allow 4 hrs to take the test and two to three weeks to receive the results. In some cases, the results can be sent directly to French universities or schools.
