
The Alliance Française of Tulsa education
program offers ongoing French classes as well as the possibility
to take the TCF to enter French speaking universities or exchanges
programs. We provide classes for all levels, and the cost is
only $150 for ten hours of instruction!
- Beginners - Learn French from
Bonjour! Even if you never had French before, join us and we
will teach you our beautiful language. Next sessions - Sunday,
April 27, 2008 at 3 PM. One class per week.
This small class, ranging in size from 6 to
12 students, will offer maximum opportunities to speak and participate
- it will be lively, interactive and fun. Grammar concepts will
be presented in the context of real life communication and culture,
focusing on conversational skills and basic reading, writing
and listening. A variety of media will be selected by the teacher
will help develop these essential proficiencies.

- Intermediate - We focus more on
grammar, reading and comprehension and some oral exercises.

- Advanced - Classes will allow
you to have conversations in French discussing books, articles
and general subjects, introducing more advanced grammar concepts.

TCF (Test de Connaissance de Français)
The French Alliance of Tulsa is an authorized test
center for the TCF exam, which checks for the level of proficiency
in the French language, called TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français).
This is an international test which can be taken by non-native speakers
of French who wish to obtain a reliable and recognized evaluation
and certification of their abilities in French for professional
or personal reasons. There are no diploma or preparation requirements
for test candidates. We do not offer DELF & DALF.
Why take this test?
- Personal - obtain an evaluation
of your speaking, writing and comprehension skills in French.
The TCF provides a snapshot of your proficiency in French.
- Work - the TCF certificate is a
benchmark of your language abilities and may be used to endorse
job applications or for internal promotion.
- Study - the certification process
is designed according to international students and is recognized
by universities as meeting French language requirements for entry.
The International Certification of the Organization
is approved in 118 countries including the U.S.
The calendar is such that the test has to be taken
between the 20th and the 30th of each month. Applications need to
be submitted and fees paid before the 5th of each month. The cost
of the test is of $250. Please allow 4 hrs to take the test and
two to three weeks to receive the results. In some cases, the results
can be sent directly to French universities or schools.
