Speaking French is not required for joining, only an
interest in the French language and the cultures of France,
the 28 countries where French is an official language, and
around 285 million people around the world who speak or study
French.
Of
diverse national origins from four continents, AF
Tucson members range from native-born speakers
to those who
speak only English, and from students to retirees.
A
volunteer organization
AF Tucson is run by an all-volunteer board of directors.
It has no paid staff. Members and the public are
welcome to attend the board’s business meetings,
held monthly August-November and January-April, usually on the
third Thursday of the month.
