

Adult classes are never more than 8 students
( Junior groups of 6 ) taught by professional native
teachers fluent in French.
They are provided in 10-week sessions, 2 hours a week.
Main classes follow a dynamic conversational method
:listen,repeat,respond, complete written exercises.
Levels of Classes:
Beginning in 3 easy steps
Level 1 - Introduction to the sounds of the language and pronunciation.
Some present tense verbs are used in simple expressions, such as what to say when you meet someone.
Concepts of Masculine or Feminine, how to use certain prepositions.
Level 2 - Sentence constructions, ability to answer simple questions, the use
of demonstrative and possessive adjectives, how to form questions and respond in the negative. More vocabulary is introduced
including irregular verbs.
Level 3 - Introduction of the Passé Composé and Imparfait. Use of "en" and "y."
Additional vocabulary plus comparatives and superlatives.
Progressing in 3 easy steps
Intermediate 1 - Brief review of Beginning Levels content.Introduction of the future and conditional
tenses,increase vocabulary. In depth review of the present and past tenses in simple conversation.

Intermediate 2 - Introduction to the subjunctive verb tense. How to topics, such as telephone use,
expressions of sympathy and congratulations, asking and receiving directions, how to rent a car, request a train ticket, etc.
Intermediate 3 - Vocabulary, additional writing practice, completing sentences using sequence of
verb tenses. Using prepositions correctly (pour, dans, en jusqu'a, etc.). Short presentations required.
For intermediate levels , phone interview may be required if student has not taken Beginning Level classes with French Alliance .
Advanced level is set on conversationnal mode .
