La Fête de Noël


Chers Amis:
This year Alliance Française will again be celebrating it's Christmas party at Le Voltaire. It is located in Pepperwood Village, 156th and Dodge.
I hope that you will join us for this evening of good friends, good food and good conversation on Sunday, December 4, 2005. Wine and soft drinks will be available beginning at 6:00 pm and dinner will be served at 6:30 pm.
The cost for members is $25.00 and does not include wine. If members do not fill the reservation list, guests will be welcomed at $35.00 per person. As you can see, membership dues defray a portion of the cost of your meal!

Your choice of one of the following appetizers:

- Escargots de Bourgogne (Six escargots baked in garlic, butter and parsley)
- Gratin d'épinard (Spinach gratin)
- Carpaccio de saumon fumé
Your choice of one of the following main entrées:

- Stuffed Petite Tender (Faux filet fourre au boursin et prosciutto) Note this dish won first place at the Nebraska Beef Council last month. It is served with a red wine demi glace sauce, veggies and potato gratin.
- Canard confit (duck confit) served with potato gratin and veggies
- Salmon mediterranean sauce. Salmon sauce will have artichoke heart, tomatoes, capers, onions, garlic and white wine. It will be served with saffron rice and veggies.
Your choice of one of the following desserts:

- Crème Brulée (vanilla crème Brulée)
- Mousse au chocolate (Chocolate mousse)
