Spotlight on Teachers
Welcome to the newest addition to the Alliance Française of the Monterey Peninsula website. Spotlight on Teachers is meant to highlight the outstanding contributions our AF member teachers are making to the promotion of French language and culture in our community. These are the people on the front lines who are keeping French alive in our schools and opening our youth's minds to another world. They are the ones who are living the Mission of the Alliance Française. They deserve our respect, admiration and support for this daunting task.
For teachers: If you are a current AF member and wish to share some of the exciting things happening in your classroom, please forward to our email: afmonterey@redshift.com, Attn. Melissa Olvera, the following:
Your full name
The name of your school
At least 4 photos of your students involved in the activity; including one of yourself would be nice too!
Title and a brief description (2-3 sentences) of the activity
The level of French being represented in the photos
Your email and/or phone number in case there are any questions
Your materials will be reviewed and posted as space comes available.
If fellow teachers visiting this sight would like a more detailed description about the activity, they can send their questions/comments to:afmonterey@redshift.com. Their email will be forwarded to the Spotlighted teacher. The hope is that this will facilitate dialogue between French teachers and therefore be of great benefit to all our students.
