Join us, even if you are not an expert in knitting, embroidery, crochet or cross-stitching, for a couple of hours of camaraderie and French conversation.
Meetings are usually once a month at the Charleston Library Society, 164 King Street, Charleston.

La Pétanque

Location: Hampton Park, near the Gazebo. Games are played once a month, last Sunday of the month.  November through February at 2 pm, and March through October at 4pm. Competition is fierce!

Le Français par les Films

Le Français par les Films class, a study of trends in contemporary French films with discussion, usually meets the second Friday of the month, September through May at the MUSC Institute of Psychiatry Auditorium (67 President Street in downtown Charleston).

Registration for the 2010 French Through Film Class is starting immediately. The class will meet five times: Jan.15, Feb.12, March 12, April 16 and May 7 in the Auditorium of the Institute of Psychiatry at 7:00pm.

The fee for the class is $5.00 for members, $10 for non-members, payable to Alliance Francaise of Charleston. Interested members can sign up and pay at the door or send a check to Treasurer John Green. The fee will remain the same regardless of the number of sessions attended.

Le Club de Bridge

Two group meets monthly: an evening group organized by Tony Bassett with 3 to 4 tables. Tony tries to respect personal preferences as numbers permit.

This is a great opportunity for those of you who want to read and speak French; there are books for all to read.  Advanced level of conversation.

Rendez Vous - L’heure de Conversation

Voulez- vous parler avec nous ce soir à Mistral?

Join lovers of the French language after work for conversation and drinks. Rendez-Vous is a fun, welcoming environment to socialize in French for all levels of experience. 

Meet other Francophiles from the Charleston area.  Enjoy mingling with others en français.
Everyone practice at his/her level.  Full bar and menu are available.

Les Jeux

Learn and practice French through games!  Play Taboo, Devine Tête, Scrabble etc.   

Generally the group will play the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7pm – 8:30 pm.  It will be fun and games at different locations.
