Mission
The Federation supports and encourages member chapters in their promotion of the language and culture of French-speaking countries.
Vision Statement
The Federation of the Alliances Françaises, USA, Inc., (Federation), is the representative body of the réseau of Alliances Françaises in the United States. The Federation is comprised of individual member chapters that elect a board of directors.
The Federation provides:
• Forums for training and support
• Development of programs to enrich and enhance chapter
efforts in the promotion of French language and francophone cultures
• Advocacy for the réseau
• Interface with interested partners and institutions
in the United States and abroad
The objectives of the Federation are to strengthen the réseau, to encourage the teaching of
the French language and to provide tools for growth to individual chapters. The Federation aims to promote continued exchange, mutual understanding and a growing friendship between American and francophone peoples.
